Ovid's Metamorphoses tells a tragic and powerful story about Phaethon, a young man who is driven by a self-inflated ego, whom needs to prove himself, ignores his father's warnings and brings destruction to the entire world. The myth stands out as a timeless warning about being too arrogant and cocky about one's ego and pride as well as the consequences of refusing to listen. I created this blog to explore Phaethon's emotional journey from confidence to disaster. By looking from his perspective, I wanted to show what his inner thoughts might have been as he flew too high and lost control. This blog is inspired by Ovid's poetic style and emotional insight, bringing his tragedy into a modern format.
